The Payments industry in an ESG-focused world: is transparency the recipe for real innovation?

As fintechs strive to make sustainability, social responsibility, and governance a
business imperative, hear fresh insight on the importance of tying your ESG
intentions to your organisational values, why transparency is the recipe for
innovation, and what happens when you get it wrong.

Join us at the Payments Innovation Day where we have lined up an outstanding panel of sustainability front-runners with extensive experience across risk, compliance and ESG strategy with speakers from Amazon Web Series (AWS), Net Zero Compute, Earth9 and moderator CLOWD9.

Who will lead the future of payments innovation: UK,US or EU?

How will geopolitics affect the future of payments? Take part in the Payments Innovation Day 2023 when a panel of three payments experts representing the UK, US and EU will make the case for their market as the next leader in the payments space. Hear how companies and organisations ‘forum-shop’ for the best countries in which to launch their businesses, what approaches work (and don’t work), and the approaches each jurisdiction can take to welcome (or repel) innovation in payments, covering fintech, banking, Blockchain and crypto.

Innovating in a cost-of-living crisis

In the midst of strong economic headwinds, agile fintechs who have focused on performance-based, profitable business models are rising to the challenge from a position of strength. As consumers and businesses grapple with sky-high costs, companies like CleverCards are leveraging cutting-edge technology to bring innovation and disruption to legacy, inefficient processes. That’s why we’re delighted to welcome CleverCards’ Founder and CEO, Kealan Lennon to the Payments Innovation Day 2023.

Why regulation should be embraced to enable (not block) innovation in payments

Fintechs are finding new and innovative ways to respond to the ongoing Cost-of-Living crisis and fueling growth. Whilst fintech innovation creates excitement, it can be met with suspicion. Join us at the Payments Innovation Day ’23 where fscom will host a panel of leading fintech innovators to address why innovation and suspicion often can go hand-in-hand, what this means for firms, and why regulatory requirements should be used as a strategic enabler of fintech success.

Revolutionising Payments: A Global Perspective on Alternative Payment Solutions

Looking beyond traditional payment methods can unlock new opportunities for businesses. Alternative payment options offer convenience and security for customers, while also reducing transaction fees and increasing sales for merchants. Chris Ford, Senior Director, B2B at Blackhawk Network will discuss how to disburse funds, at scale, across multiple use cases using alternative payment solutions in global markets.

The Embedded Future of Payments

Embedded finance has the potential to accelerate growth, increase user engagement, foster loyalty, and create new income streams in addition to subscriptions. Because financial products have been included into frequently used digital user interfaces, the next generation of embedded finance is strong. Join Payments Innovation Forum and Nirav Patel, Group CEO at Andaria Financial Services, at the Payments Innovation Day to learn the journey of Embedded Finance and its opportunity in a limited industry that will have an impact on the future of the cards and payments industry.

Payments for Good - Payment Choice Innovation for Those in Need

Ensuring the most vulnerable people in our communities get the funds they need in a way that works for them, is vital. Covid-19 changed the landscape for how payments for free school meals and then The Household Support Fund (HSF) were made, and innovation has been critical to the successful distribution of funds. Not everyone has access to bank accounts, wants to use plastic vouchers for retailers miles away, or get payments made into overdrawn accounts.

Join Paul Wickers, founder and CEO of Huggg at the Payments Innovation Day as he shares his unique journey of payments for good innovation. One that started with supplying voucher codes to families during Covid-19 as a replacement for school meals, moved to developing vouchers for HSF which provided choice for millions, and is now set to innovate the way energy vouchers are distributed to those in need.
