London, 6 July 2026, The Payments Innovation Forum (PIF), has announced the appointment of Jonathan Vaux as Chair and Kevin McAdam as Vice Chair.

PIF is the not-for-profit membership organisation and trade association representing the payments industry and counts many of the sector’s market-leading organisations amongst its members.

Jonathan succeeds Scott Dawson, who will continue to support PIF in his role as a Non-Executive Director. Scott remains an active member of the PIF Board, contributing to the organisation’s strategic direction and ongoing growth.

Jonathan Vaux is Head of Propositions and Partnerships at Thredd. With over 30 years of experience in the cards space, including senior roles at American Express and Visa, he brings deep insight into payments innovation. As a respected voice in the industry, Jonathan combines extensive knowledge of card ecosystems with a strong understanding of evolving client needs.

Kevin McAdam is CEO of Andaria UK and Executive Director at Andaria Financial Services UK, where he leads the organisation’s relationships with network schemes to support solutions across multiple verticals. With over 25 years of experience in the payments industry across the UK, Europe and North America, Kevin has held roles in issuance, processing, card manufacturing, and programme management. His achievements include launching multiple BIN implementation projects, gaining principal membership, launching card solutions and securing an EMI license in the UK.

These appointments reflect PIF’s distinctive rotating governance model, which distributes leadership responsibilities across its Board of Directors. Every three months, the PIF Vice Chair steps into the role of PIF Chair, ensuring a continuous flow of fresh perspectives, diverse expertise and collaborative leadership. This model enables PIF to draw on the collective experience of its Board, supporting the delivery of its member-driven strategic plan and strengthening collaboration and innovation across the payment’s ecosystem.

Speaking about his tenure as PIF Chair, Scott said:

“It has been an absolute pleasure to serve as PIF Chair during such an important phase of the organisation’s development — from launching our first PIF Innovation Series to chairing a major event focused on the future of public sector payments.

I am proud of what we have achieved and excited to continue contributing to PIF’s growth and strategic direction as a Non-Executive Director. Jonathan and Kevin bring enormous experience and insight to their new roles, and I wish them every success as they lead PIF into its next chapter."

Commenting on the handover, PIF Executive Director Diane Brocklebank said:

“I would like to thank Scott for his outstanding support and the momentum PIF has built under his leadership. As the payments landscape continues to evolve at pace, strong and adaptive leadership at the heart of PIF is essential. We are privileged to have a Board that consistently brings expertise, clarity and challenge to our work, helping drive the progress our members expect. With Jonathan and Kevin at the helm, I’m confident PIF will continue to thrive for our industry and members.”
