DECTA has added MB WAY to the payment methods available to its merchants, with the first merchants already live and processing payments.

As cross-border trade accelerates across Europe, offering buyers the payment methods they already use is one of the simplest ways to lift conversion. Supported by Portugal’s major banks, MB WAY is the wallet Portuguese consumers reach for first, making it an essential payment option for businesses selling into the market.

With MB WAY enabled on their DECTA account, merchants can now offer Portuguese buyers a fast, familiar checkout. Buyers confirm the payment in seconds, either via web redirect or push notification straight to their MB WAY app, with a PIN or biometrics.

What merchants get:

  • Available now for EU and UK merchants: MB WAY is available to DECTA merchants selling to buyers in Portugal, with payments processed in EUR.
  • Simple to switch on: Merchants using DECTA’s hosted checkout get MB WAY with no additional integration once it is enabled on their account. Merchants with their own integration choose between the redirect and the app-notification flow.
  • Refunds covered: Full and partial refunds are supported, so post-purchase handling works the way merchants expect.
